Bokong Semar
Site is located for about 600 meters to the southern of Kotagede Market. This
fortress is bending as to form as like bokong (buttocks) of Semar-one character
of punokawan puppet performance. By its similarity, local people called this
fortress as Bokong Semar.

This unique shape of Bokong Semar has philosophy that
is related to the king wisdom in the past for he gave protection and
peacefulness among of his people back there. Rumor said that there is a hidden
mystical pool to the northern part of Bokong Semar. It is said that this pool
actually believed as the place where the elephant of kraton taking a bath.
Until now, some people who have supernatural power assumed could see this
mystical pool.
